Frequently Asked Questions
What is microblading?
Microblading is a cosmetic tattoo, or semi-permanent makeup, performed using a manual (not a machine) disposable handheld tool. It is composed of very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade, called a microblade. The tool is used to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously implant the pigment into the skin. Each new hair stroke that is drawn is meant to simulate the client’s natural eyebrow hair and seamlessly blend it with the client existing brows to add color and fullness resulting in a very natural look. The microblading process ensures a design with customized shape, look, and feel that complements your face and your personality.
Who is a good candidate for microblading?
A good candidate for microblading is someone with normal/dry skin and smaller pores. The Engrayved hair strokes will hold in the skin more successfully with this type of skin.
More oily/combination skin will not heal as well, because the hair strokes tend to expand and and blur after healing as the oil in the skin will break down the pigment during the healing process.
Additionally, a person who has had previous cosmetic tattoo procedures is not a good candidate for microblading as the hair strokes become thicker and softer over time, making it more difficult to achieve realistic hair strokes with a microblading tool.
The process of Microblading is a two-step procedure, which includes an initial session and a complimentary touchup within 6-12 weeks following the first session to achieve the best long-lasting results.
What is a Combination Brow?
Combo brows are a combination of microblading and powder brows (shading). There are microblading hair-like strokes from the beginning to the middle of the brow to give the brow a natural look, which then transitions to a powdered effect to the body and tail of the brow to give the brow more fullness and density.
Who is a good candidate for a Combination Brow?
Combo brows are a great choice for all skin types! For someone with very sparse brows, the shading can give the brow more body, while the hairstrokes keep it looking natural. And for someone with more oily skin, the machine and the microblading tool work together to create a very natural full brow effect.
The process of Combination Brows is a two-step procedure, which includes an initial session and a complimentary touchup within 6-12 weeks following the first session to achieve the best long-lasting results.
What is a Powder Brow?
Powder brows is a cosmetic semi permanent makeup technique designed to create eyebrows with soft powder effect, very similar to powder makeup. Powder effect is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup device, which is similar to a tattoo gun. The machine uses a single needle and implants tiny dots of pigment to create the powder effect.
Who is a good candidate for a Powder Brow?
Powder Brow is a great solution for people who have over-plucked their eyebrows (90's brows), or who have naturally very thin/light eyebrows and want to accentuate the look of eyebrows on their face. It is great for all skin types and lasts 1-3 years depending on skin type (dry vs oily). This cosmetic tattoo is recommended for a fuller effect so depending on what your brow goals are the powder brow could be a great choice.
The process of a Powder Brow is a two-step procedure, which includes an initial session and a complimentary touchup within 6-12 weeks following the first session to achieve the best long-lasting results.
What is Lip Blush?
Lip blushing is the process of implanting pigment into the lips creating the most beautifully natural appearance of having a plumper pout and a healthy hue. The application is considered to be that of a sheer look, unlike a lipstick look. Simply add a pretty gloss and go. With a sheer finish you can still enhance your lips with the latest makeup lip liner trends. The pigment choice is matched based on your individual goals. Lip blushing adds color to pale lips, creates more symmetry and definition to your lip shape lasting up to five years.
Lip blushing is considered to be a two-step process, which includes your initial appointment and one complimentary touchup within 6-12 weeks after your first appointment for maximum healed results.
Lip blushing generally lasts 1-3 years before requiring a periodic touch-up. The duration varies based on factors like skin-type, lifestyle, and the color of the pigment. By sticking to our permanent makeup aftercare instructions, you will maximize the appearance of your lip blushing overtime.
Lip blushing is a semi-permanent tattoo that can enhance the color and shape of your lips and give the impression of more fullness. This is done by depositing color ink into your lips and along your lip line to improve the overall look. The color is subtle to give natural-looking results.
* Lip filler is best done after you have completely healed from both your initial appointment and complimentary touchup -or- wait at least SIX weeks after filler before receiving lip blushing. In certain cases filling your lips prior to your lip blushing appointment will help with very wrinkled lips and asymmetry.
What is an Eyelash Line Enhancement?
EYELASH LINE ENHANCEMENT is a technique that involves delicately tattooing an ultra-thin black line along the upper eyelash line, extending from lash to lash. This creates the optical illusion of naturally fuller, thicker lashes without the appearance of conspicuous makeup.
This method is perfect for those seeking to accentuate their eyes without the boldness of traditional eyeliner. It won't provide a dramatic eyeliner effect, but it will subtly intensify and thicken your lashes.
The process of Eyelash Line Enhancement is a two-step procedure, which includes an initial session and a complimentary touchup within 6-12 weeks following the first session to achieve the best long-lasting results.
*False lashes/ eyelash extensions must be removed at least SEVEN days in advance of your eyelash line enhancement procedure.
Prices vary depending on the type of liner you would like. A thicker line and a wing are both going to be more expensive.
